Thanks again. I definitely wanted to use the gui, but I think I incorrectly assumed the gui would spot the additional drive and do everything. But I got that wrong. I'm now wondering if I've missed the step of not formatting this drive??

I have two nodes in a datacentre: pve-pb1 and pve-pb2. The gui shows both nodes viewed from either IP, but I can't figure why the VGs and ThinPools of pve-pb2 don't show in storage.cfg:

I've deleted the node and rebuilt it. When it was standalone, before I rejoined my cluster, the second drive /dev/sdb/ could be seen and accessed as storage by the node OK. When I joined the cluster the storage (LVM) doesn't show under that node anymore. Neither can I see it listed or available...

somehome I've managed to partly delete a VG and now when I want to assign /dev/sdb to it via the datacentre, the gui doesn't list my vg 'storage2'. it shows in pvs, but not in lvs. Help to correct this appreciated for a newb.
