Datacentre Firewall Blocks VM and Container traffic

Looks like the mtu is set at 1500, but i've not changed this since it's been installed. I was able to use the proxmox firewall once upon a time with this specific installation.

Datacentre Firewall Blocks VM and Container traffic

I have noticed some similar threads to this situation, but a few years old. My problem is enabling the datacentre firewall, and even with both Input and Output rules set to accept, i seem to lose networking to my VMs and Containers, and adding firewall rules to the VM's and containers don't...

    MegaRaid controller issues Kernel 5.13.19-4-pve

After upgrading the kernel, I was having some issues with my hardware raid controller LSI MegaRAID SAS 2008 [Falcon] (rev 03). I've not had any problems with this for the several months i've been using it. I normally pass this through to a VM, and noticed the error message... Error: Cannot...

mini proxmox build idea pfsense, pi hole, etc

Not sure how power hungry the bigger server is, but I would have put proxmox on the big server and then virtualised your truenas, pfsense and so on although, my dedicated server is only a xeon 1231v3 with 32gb ram, and with everything I have on their virtualised/containers there always seems to...

Why is Proxmox so difficult to use?

I spent about 1-2 months trying to get GPU passthrough to work, and although i never got it working, i did learn a bit along the way. I still think proxmox is great regardless, and if i didn't already have a server running, i'd probably choose proxmox to run it.

    GPU passthrough questions

I am thinking i may have to scale up on what I have, but i've a few questions first. I currently have.. xeon i3-1271 v3 Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H 16gb ddr3 1600 ram Nvidea GTX760 This is in an older HTPC case, so hence the scaling up part. I've no room for a second GPU inside this case, and with...

GPU passthrough error message for Nvidea control panel

Apologies, this is on a guest windows 10. I tried the dummy plugs but they never helped. I had spice off and I've been using remote desktop. I think I've maybe spotted a silly error on my behalf. I left the motherboard bios in uefi/legacy mode, thinking that because Proxmox has been booting...

GPU passthrough error message for Nvidea control panel

I have my proxmox server connected to a display port on my tv at the moment. I'm not 100% sure if this control panel message is related to the nvidea code 43 error with the driver blocking/bug i've been reading about. In the meantime, i've ordered some dummy HDMI plugs in case it's an...

[SOLVED] What sort of wizardry gets audio to work in linux guest/vm?

Hello, i've figured out the issue, i also had a problem with USB audio. Turns out virt viewer for windows most recent version 10.0, doesn't work (on the PC's i've tried). I reverted back to virt-viewer-x64-9.0-1.1.msi and now the audio is working :) Happy days, hopefully helps someone else.

Is it possible to have Proxmox and an OS together (separate setup)?

I have done this myself, and i swap between the two using the boot menu or bios. i have done this to experiment with proxmox and see if it's something I'll use more of. If its something i intend using more of, i'll probably invest more in subscription and hardware. I don't think there's anything...
