I'm not sure about this specific link but the problem I ran into with using third party container images is that the networking didn't use the right IP address assigned.
Works fine with the arm64 image proxmox included though.
I replicated the issue with KVM crashing sporadically and have a core dump that points to libpixman. This looks like the bug I fixed last year: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pixman/pixman/-/merge_requests/148
The fix didn't get included in...
No, nevermind. I just got lucky. I've found every 1 in 10 restarts to be stable on the KVM.
I'm not sure at this point. I guess I'll just live with LXC (Which is still better than bare metal/docker!)
After messing around with this more. QEMU (Max) CPU flags don't cause the crash.
Yet, Host flags do.
I also noticed that I can't manually select either cortex-a55 or corex-a76.
I think this is a bug?
Please add more CT templates for Arm64.
Currently only alpine-3.24-default_20260803_arm64.tar.xz is available. It works, but it's not what I'm familiar with.
I have a couple 32GB RAM orange pi 5 pluses I'm attempting to use with the arm64 proxmox.
I am using the following UEFI firmware: https://github.com/edk2-porting/edk2-rk3588
VPS run, but they crash frequently. I thought at first it was a OS...
Hmm.
Okay, so it works. And once the VM is booted fully, it seems stable. That said, it takes 5-10 "boot" attempts on the KVM/VPS to start it fully. It crashes the other 9 attempts.
Unsure of why, as it doesnt appear to be logging any errors.
