  1. Comet Lake NUC (NUC10i5FNH / NUC10i7FNH) gvt-g support?

Hi Guys, I currently have a Coffee Lake NUC (NUC8i5BEH) where I use gvt-g for virtual GPUs for some ubuntu VMs (mainly for Intel QuickSync) and wondered whether anyone had tried this on the Comet Lake NUCs (either NUC10i5FNH or NUC10i7FNH) as thinking about buying one of those... According to...
  2. Live Migration with GVT-g (mdev) passthrough device?

Hi @dcsapak, Are there any specific URLs you can share where I could check the status of this exciting feature? I’ve posted the same question at the phoronix article above but that article is 1yr old now... Thanks!
  3. proxmox + ceph - which ssd you use / to choose

@tom - Is the SM863a still a recommended drive for Proxmox Ceph use or are there better alternatives out there nowadays? Thanks!
  4. Pls help: Upgrade community from 6.04 to 6.2

My /etc/apt/sources.list includes the following no-subscription line (I’m on latest version): deb buster pve-no-subscription But yours is pointing to the old “stretch” rather than “buster” repo?
  5. Grafana+influxdb monitoring

Because Proxmox writes to InfluxDB over UDP rather than TCP, you have to specify the database name written to in the Influxdb (not Proxmox) configuration... I’ve not tested this but if you want to write to multiple InfluxDB databases on the same influxdb host, I think you’d need to do something...
  6. Full clone feature is not supported for drive 'efidisk0' (500)?

Thanks @tom, I’ve raised the following bug for this. Note that the error message given alternates randomly between the scsi0 and efidisk0 so maybe not 100% related to the efidisk0...
  7. Full clone feature is not supported for drive 'efidisk0' (500)?

    Hi @tom , pveversion below... Thanks! root@pve-host1:~# pveversion -v proxmox-ve: 6.2-1 (running kernel: 5.4.41-1-pve) pve-manager: 6.2-6 (running version: 6.2-6/ee1d7754) pve-kernel-5.4: 6.2-2 pve-kernel-helper: 6.2-2 pve-kernel-5.3: 6.1-6 pve-kernel-5.0: 6.0-11 pve-kernel-5.4.41-1-pve...
  8. Error: Message too long in External Metric

Hi @t.lamprecht I'm at the latest version as follows so assume there's maybe another issue here that wasn't fixed by the previous fix? root@pve-host1:~# pveversion -v proxmox-ve: 6.2-1 (running kernel: 5.4.41-1-pve) pve-manager: 6.2-6 (running version: 6.2-6/ee1d7754) pve-kernel-5.4: 6.2-2...
  9. Full clone feature is not supported for drive 'efidisk0' (500)?

Hi There, When I try to clone an existing VM from the (not-current/not-latest) snapshot, I get the following error (with the error seemingly randomly either related to scsi0 or efidisk0)? Is this expected or a bug? The configuration of the source VM being cloned is as follows...
  10. Error: Message too long in External Metric

I'm also seeing this in my syslog every 10mins as follows... Jun 17 09:15:19 pve-host1 pvestatd[2377]: qemu status update error: metrics send error 'influxdb': failed to send metrics: Message too long I couldn't find any bug raised about this as suggested above so have raised the followng bug...
  11. IGD passthrough and hard coded PCI bridges

Thanks for this. Is there a guide somewhere on the definition of and differences between UPT and legacy Passthrough and, importantly, how to configure each approach? thanks!
  12. GPU Passthrough with Intel HD 920

@Ekinox - As mentioned above, my VM (and the physical PVE host) is headless - I do not use the HDMI for the VM. I only passthrough the IGP to use the Intel QuickSync features of the CPU/IGP inside the VM and connect to the VM using console/SSH when I need to...
  13. GPU Passthrough with Intel HD 920

Have you tried passing the card through as a mediated device (GVT_g)? That’s how I’m currently passing my IGD through on Ubuntu 18.04 for headless Intel QuickSync.
  14. Proxmox freeze on Intel NUC

I can’t recall whether I changed anything with the cstate in the BIOS - I know I looked into it at the time but I don’t recall amending anything in the BIOS specifically for this. If you can point me to the cstate settings in the BIOS, I can tell you what mine are set to...

It would be good to understand exactly what was backed up (full list of folders/files), and the procedure used to backup and then restore the node. Thanks!
