Thx! Mounting the ESP and removing the old kernels manualy worked, like explained in the threads you shared. I'm now working on manually deleting some really old ones that apt autoremove doesn't handle. Hopefully this won't happen again.

Is there a good way to remove the broken package from the "not fully installed" list. So I can start on removing old kernels manually?

That's the weird thing because I always run apt autoremove && apt autoclean after each time I update something. Also when I run apt autoremove && apt autoclean right now, it tells me there's nothing to remove.

I tried running some updates on my server like I do a lot but for some reason this time it completely broke my apt. The latest 5.15 kernel just won't install and I've tried everything that I could find online to fix it. Only thing left that I can do is delete old kernels that are still installed...

Ah oke, got a lot to think of thanks. So best thing I can do right now is just convert all the vm disks to RAW? I know I can just move between storages but I only have 1 storage pool and that's the ZFS and it's also the boot drive so I don't think I can just change it to LVM-thin.

Ah I see, heard it before but didn't think it would impact performance that much. Then I have 2 follow up questions. Wouldn't not using qcow2 prevent me from using snapshots on running vms as a backup method? And would running the RAID card in IT mode and using only ZFS cause more RAM usage...

Damn that's a shame bought them because they were affordable SSDs. Guess I'll just deal with it for now until I can swap them for something better. BTW are a few harddisks in raid 5 better than 2 SSDs in raid 1 performance wise?

Probably, if you attached the drives directly to the vm like you said they will be regular Windows drives without any modification from Proxmox. The only issue you'll have to worry about are the permissions when placing the disks in a standalone Windows machine. But haven't done it myself so...

Check the vm config file via shell maybe the storage disk is still referenced there. If so delete the line and hopefully you can just delete is via GUI. The file path is /etc/pve/qemu-server/<VMID>. If that doesn't help removing the storage and vm config via ssh should remove it from the web gui...
