I saw your post...I had seen the same response from the devs... pretty direct
, eh? I understand their reluctance to support anything other than HW RAID. But FYI you can fairly easily add support for your highpoint.... I'm using same brand except SATA. using most recent driver src off hpt web site, read the Readme etc., built the module and managed to get a module that would load. Now this was with an already running proxmox server installed on a single HD. I merely use it for demo purposes mainly. If you are up to speed with building a custom kernel or module it's worth the effort. I am an IT consultant by trade and I'm doing production systems on HP/Dell . Previously I was working on VMware ESX (lot $$ and not really all that better in my except windows gui and manages a lot of vm's pretty much automatically) I target small business.
