Just wanted to say that I'm probably the only other person in existence with a HVR2250, in a VM in Proxmox, and have the same issue as you. I discovered the same thing a long time ago: a fresh boot of the host will enable the tuner, but rebooting the VM will break it from that point forward...

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm in the exact same boat. I resized my partition in gparted *inside the guest VM* to 18GB. I'd like to shrink the LV in Proxmox down to 20GB (just to be safe), from 35GB. When I try to reduce the virtual disk in proxmox with `lvreduce`, the VM ends up...
