There are still some problems. If i am logged in to proxmox with ie9 and then try to map a network drive I am asked for a username and password. For simple sharing this always fails.
when I am logged in with Firefox I cannot get a console session to work, it comes up blank. Console works on ie9...

It is going to be restrictive for me, the XP/ie8 system is locked down so I can't add firefox, the win7/ie9 system is a laptop with limited graphics capability.
I don't think that I will be alone with the xp setup. It would be a pity to potentially lose...

I cleared the cache on one of my systems (win7 and ie9) and can now get the login screen. I cleared the cache on another system (xp and ie8) but this didn't make any difference, still get a blank screen after the certificate warning.
Italian01, are you certain that you have "hardware virtualisation" / AMD-V / VTx enabled in your bios (on the host system). I have seen systems that do not allow it even though the cpu is capable.
It isn't that minor if users cannot login! I just installed VE2 RC1 and I cannot login from 32 bit IE8, 32 bit IE9 or 64 bit IE9, I just get a blank screen.
You should be able to do this, VMWare 8 does support VTx passthrough but you need to change the virtualisation engine under machine settings, processors. Mine is set for preferred mode: intel VT-x or AMD-V and Virtualise Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI. You get a message saying that it is reverting...
I have the same problem with the same setup. XP32 SP3, IE8, Proxmox 2.
I get the prompt about the certificate error then a blank screen where the management console is supposed to be. I can SSH without a problem.

JFI, If you are using Vmware ESX5 or workstation 8 then you can pass VTx or AMDx through to the VM that you created.
My problem is that I cant get Proxmox to do this on an Intel processor
