[SOLVED] Question about qocw2 and thin provisioning

Hi FreeAgent, in NFS up to v4.1 the trim is not supported and you have to shrink manually. Only with NFSv4.2 the discard option can trim the qcow2 disk when you delete files. I was looking for an open source storage appliance with NFSv4.2 and I found OviOS (based on ZFSonLinux). OviOS seems to...

    Proxmox 5.3 Dell Openmanage

I know but Andy is using a Dell 11G Server and latest OpenManage does not support old hardware. Maybe the title would be "Proxmox 5.3 Dell OpenManage on 11G Server"?

[SOLVED] Old QEMU-AGENT in Fedora ISO 1.41 (And how to get the new one!)

Hi Jean-Luc. I see that in the reference link you provided (chtos.net) there is an attached Zip with QEMU Guest Agent. I installed it and checking on PVE console the version is 2.11.50 (in download link the version 2.10.50 maybe is incorrect). Thank you!

    iSCSI MultiPath into ISO images

Because in many configurations I have hosts that cannot go online. XenServer includes multipath-tools so I can configure it out-of-the-box. At this moment I'm testing PVE and oVirt to find a XenServer alternative. Thank you for the fast reply.

    Incremental Backup solution

Use Google and search for "proxmox ve differential backups" then take a look at ayufan.eu blog (at the time of writing supports only Proxmox VE versions up to 5.0) but it can do only differential and NOT incremental.

Proxmox VE 5.1 2nd ISO release

Hi Support, I'd like to know if you will release a new updated ISO (maybe 5.1-4) with Meltdown and Spectre Linux Kernel fixes. Thanks!

    Trim virtual drives

If you want to use NFS, only with NFSv4.2 the discard option can trim the qcow2 disk when you delete files. I was looking for an open source storage appliance with NFSv4.2 and I found OviOS (based on ZFSonLinux). Now I'm testing OviOS and it seems to reduce the used disk space! I'm using jumbo...
