Apparently I didn't. It turned out that I forgot to set up IOMMU on that machine and now I feel like a fool.

I added non-free to the end of the repository list so i could install my Atheros wifi with apt install firmware-atheros
But when I do, it tries to remove proxmox-ve, pve-firmware and pve-kernel-5.4.

Found two ways of starting up the pfsense install without Gen10+ going offline:
1. Creating more network bridges for the other NICs and using them instead, or
2. Adding them as PCI Devises without All Functions checked.

sudo fdisk /dev/sda
I then wrote down the cylinder start for /dev/sda3 and removed that partition, followed by creating a new partition at the same start as the...
I'm running Proxmox VE with Ubuntu Server 20.04 as VM.
I SSH'd in to proxmox and did:
qm resize 100 scsi0 +30G
After which I can see that my disk indeed changed to 50Gb (20Gb previously).
When I SSH in to Ubuntu and do:
sudo fdisk -l
I get:
[...]
Disk /dev/sda: 50 GiB, 53687091200 bytes...
