Welcome to the party! In our case rebooting PBS into kernel 6.14.11-4-pve successfully workarounded the issue. -

Eeexodus replied to the thread Super slow, timeout, and VM stuck while backing up, after updated to PVE 9.1.1 and PBS 4.0.20.I am having the same problem after upgrading PVE to 9.1.2. It seems to only be happening to Windows VMs. Backups are causing the VM to halt after which I have manually qm unlock, stop, then start, to get them responsive again. My PBS is on 4.1.0...
