You, sir, are absolutely correct! Thank you very much, I feel like an idiot now since it was something as simple as a borked perl install. I guess someone should report that to Hetzner (as well as the fact that their installimage for Proxmox is broken too). :-P

I've been using Proxmox for a while now on the latest stable Debian. Just got a new server and wanted to install Proxmox on it as well. I've tried several fresh installs of Debian Wheezy with the latest Proxmox (on Hetzner, if it matters), but for some reason when apt-get installs pvedaemon...
