Aalex591 replied to the thread [SOLVED] Tape restore hangs indefinitely.Well that was a strange one. 3 hours later, restore has resumed. Still no idea what the cause of the delay was - the previous (failed) attempt to restore that same VM started restoring chunks within a few minutes.

I did restart the server for a kernel update last night, so perhaps a restart fixed something, or a package update. I've started the first tape backup...
