Hi,

I tried to install zenoss with the openvz teamplate, I went by the wiki instruction and everything went fine, but when I tried to acess zenoss web gui I couldn't.

The wiki instruction does not say how to configure the network interface of zenoss, should I use the default (127.0.0.1) or the bridged one? it's not clear.

Any help would be appreciated.

for the network, always use venet (veth only if you have a special reason for this) and specify a valid ip address. (not 127....)

the zenoss appliance takes some time as described in the wiki on the first startup (see the logs - and see the screenshot in the wiki).

well i gave it an address of my own (from my net pool) and waited until I saw "no more runlevel to run" message in the boot log, but when I type http:///xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080 I get the network error from IE

pls post your full log - i just tried this here without any problems, see my log:

check the status of the zenoss-stack services (all service regarding zenoss):

Code:
/etc/init.d/zenoss-stack status
if something is not running, try stop and start:

Code:
/etc/init.d/zenoss-stack stop

/etc/init.d/zenoss-stack start
check the logs displayed.

another question: can you ping the zenoss IP from your desktop?
