Hello,

As the title say, my windows vm is stuck on proxmox boot, like a picture is worth a 1000 words and a video is worth a 1000 pictures, I record a small video of the problem :
youtube link

The CPU of my host is an i9-12900 and I use the host cpu.
I try with window11 and window10, same behavior.

My goal is to use wsl2 and docker.
I also tried on another proxmox with an i7-10700K CPU and the vm did not stuck on boot after enabling virtualization and wsl2 installed successfully.

After more digging I find out that adding :
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/windows-10-vm-stuck-in-automatic-repair-boot-loop.108783/post-468917
Code:
args: -cpu SandyBridge,hv_relaxed,hv_spinlocks=0x1fff,hv_vapic,hv_time,+vmx
in the vm config "fixed" the boot loop.

BUT first restart I got a blue screen "KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE" who fade away after a restart but still.

I will do more testing this week and hopefully no more BSOD.

Hi, I would like to use wsl2 and docker on a windows 11 VM and I have the same issue. I am using a 13th generation Intel processor. I think 12th and 13th generation processors are poorly supported. Did you find a fix?
