Hello,

we migrated two physical Windows servers 2016 to proxmox. We have used Network Load Balancing that was working really well on those physical windows nodes. Since we migrated those two Windows servers 2016 to Proxmox our load balancing is not working any more.

We tried to switch from "multicast cluster mode" to "unicast cluster mode" but no luck.

Physical addresses are normally reachable but cluster IP is not. We are using 2 network cards per windows node, one for production and one for mgmt. LB is working on production interfaces.

We have installed Windows VirtIO Drivers, but it does not help us.

What we are missing? Any suggestion why it is not working please?

Hi secsec,
We are currently encountering the same issue, however i found a partial workaround.
If you change the NLB adapter to a Vmware adapter and assign the shared MAC address of the NLB in windows, make sure to not use dashes between the MAC address.
You need to use Unicast, if this has been setup like this, most likely one server should work.

Its really strange why this is not working, I have tried so many things but no succes to get 2 working NLB.
