Why is the space used in lvm-thin VMs not shown?

Hello, since a lvm-thin storage allows to identify how much space has been used (mapped space) why in Proxmox can not get this information?

For us, it would be very interesting to be able to show how much free space is left on the disk of every VM.

At the very least, we would like to be able to get the values via the API.

Actually what we do is to analyze the individual mapped size by running a lvdisplay, but it is quite a lot of work.

I think we don't support what you are describing currently [1]. As the API says

Used space. Please note that most storage plugins do not report anything useful here.

I didn't find a feature request in bugzilla.proxmox.com for this, either. But you can create one .
