Hi !

When I ask vztop to show the VEID (either live with 'e' or with the command line switch '-E -1'), I only see '0' for all processes! :(
Is this an OpenVZ bug or something specific to Proxmox VE?
My config :
Linux proxmox 2.6.24-9-pve #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 17 09:34:41 CET 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
pve-manager/1.5/4660
procps version 2.0.11

Cheers,

Jean-Marc

I see this also on a local 2.6.24-10, on 2.6.18 it seems to work.

same here on all our 3 Proxmox server.

Right, it works with the old kernel!
But is it a kernel bug, an OpenVZ bug or something introduced by Proxmox???

2.6.18 is not 'old', its the current and latest stable OpenVZ version.

our 2.6.18 kernel is based on the 2.6.18 kernel but that does not mean that is old - in fact it there are thousands of fixes, enhancements and backports there.

the openvz stopped maintaining 2.6.24 so if you want reliable OpenVZ you need to use 2.6.18. but there are good news, they started implementing openvz for 2.6.32.

vztop still doesn't work very well with 2.6.18 ! :(
Let's hope 2.6.32 will solve that ...
