VM Problem

Hi,

I'm having a problem with one of my vm's in proxmox.
Whenever I try to mount the image it gives out a really weird error.

#:vzct start 104
Starting container ...
Container is mounted
Unable to open /var/lib/vz/root/104/sbin/init-logger: No such file or directory
Unable to copy init-logger
Not enough resources to start environment
Container start failed
Container is unmounted


It worked before, just for some odd reason it won't start.
Please help out, it will be most appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Unfortunately I really can't figure out the problem. It's the first time I've handled proxmox and I've searched google a lot. I checked my system for RAM and Storage and it seems to be fine.

# pveversion -v

And what template do you use?

That version is simply too old. I suggest you update first.

Hi Dietmar,

I know that's it's kinda old for our proxmox. But we're using this old version on production. If there's a way I can fix it as assigned by my boss I can't upgrade it, not without proper authorization. Is there anyway I can find a work around for this problem?

there are countless bug fixes since 1.5 so you should really upgrade.

you should always upgrade to latest version, otherwise support is not possible are you are very soon quite alone with your problems.

so I suggest you make sure you have a valid backup of all your data and then upgrade at least to 1.9. (see http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Installing_Proxmox_VE_v1.9_post_Lenny_retirement)

better would be 2.1, but this is more challenging. see http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_1.9_to_2.0

I can set up a new one if I wanted to... Only problem is I've no option to upgrade now. Thanks for the tips.
