One of my 2 hosts gives an error when I check Package versions after the upgrade to 8.2

proxmox-ve: not correctly installed (running kernel: 6.5.13-5-pve)

When looking at grep menu /boot/grub/grub.cf I get the following:

I'm running headless, is there a safe way to change it to the 6.8.4.2-pve kernel?

Appears I can edit /etc/default/grub to the following:

GRUB_DEFAULT="gnulinux-advanced-/dev/nvme0n1p3>gnulinux-6.8.4-2-pve-advanced-/dev/nvme0n1p3"

Could someone confirm if this is correct?

Your i915 sriov kernel module is breaking withe the new kernel. Either fix it or remove that module.

Your i915 sriov kernel module is breaking withe the new kernel. Either fix it or remove that module.

Was able to remove the i915 kernel module and run dpkg --configure -a
It now shows proxmox-ve: 8.2.0 (running kernel: 6.5.13-5-pve)in pveversion -v.

Is there a proper way to update it to kernel 6.8.4-2-pve?
