Hi,

I am a newbie here so apologise first if this has been discussed previously.

I recently installed Proxmox VE 7.2 on my old laptop in the hope of turning it to a home server.

However, I cant reach the proxmox page on my webbrowser via the ip address generated after installing it.

The ip a screen shows the following:

buggy proxmox small.jpg

I am using it over wifi- no ethernet port on my laptop unfortunately!

I tried using different browsers- none worked.

My router is definitely at 192.168.1.1
I cant ping to proxmox from windows command prompt:
C:\Users\Sharadiya>ping 192.168.1.150

Pinging 192.168.1.150 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.21: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.1.21: Destination host unreachable.

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.150:
Packets: Sent = 2, Received = 2, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Is there anyway I can fix this?

I previously had ubuntu server installed in my laptop and it worked fine.

I tried reinstalling proxmox couple of times now and tried different static IP address (all within DHCP range) but nothing worked.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Hi,

your vmbr0 interface says its DOWN. Looks like you are not connected to wireless LAN if I see that interface name correctly. Have you done the setup for WLAN?
