Hi
I am using Proxmox for the first time. It's installed on a server (not nested) and when I try to start up my first vm I get the follow error:

kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.ssse3 [bit 9]
kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.sse4.1 [bit 19]
kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.sse4.2 [bit 20]
kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.aes [bit 25]
kvm: Host doesn't support requested features
TASK ERROR: start failed: QEMU exited with code 1

Any idea what the issue might be and how to fix it?

Looks like you selected a custom CPU in your configuration and that selection is not compatible with your physical CPU.
You can review the selection in GUI/VM configuration or via CLI with "qm config [vmid]".
As a solution you can either select a different CPU, select "host CPU", or select "KVM" as CPU. In most cases "host" is the best option.
