Hi guys -

I'm testing PVE v4.2-2/725d76f0 and I get errors when trying to migrate a simply CT.

1. I created two hosts from scratch v4.2-2
pve1 (10.1.1.101)
pve2 (10.1.1.102)
2. made a cluster and joined both. (can see both hosts under the data center)
3. created a simple ubuntu CT100 on pve1.
4. HA: on pve1, created a HA group to include both pve1 and pve2.
5. HA: added resource CT100 to the group
6. I tried to migrate CT100 from pve1 to pve2 using the "migrate" button, but i get the following errors.

please help..

Code:
Apr 28 10:57:56 starting migration of CT 100 to node 'pve2' (10.1.1.102)
Apr 28 10:57:56 copy mountpoint 'rootfs' (local-lvm:vm-100-disk-1) to node ' pve2'

TASK ERROR: migration aborted

thanks.. Cheers.

Thanks. Just to make sure I have this right, backup ct100 from pve1, restore to pve2. Then this system will work as a HA container?

How do I point the restore to the local-lvm storage?

PS. Where is the local-lvm storage located? Is it a directory?

Hi all,

Just as a question to Dietmars reply... I'm just trying now Proxmox 4.2 on a cluster config, and as a fresh install I can't choose local lvm volume type "thick". So I get my local disks as lvm-thin... There is no way to migrate CTs from this local storage/host other than given workaround "backup/restore"?

Is there a way to "convert" my thin LVs to thick?

Looking forward to get this bug corrected so local storage can be used in a cluster...

Thanks in advance!!!
