ProxMox VE configuration and hardware raid

Hi,

I finally got a brand new hardware with an hardware raid controller PERC H355.

I read you should not use hardware raid with PVE.

Can you advise me about using (or not) this PERC H355 ? Will it be more reliable to use it in some way (ie, RAID0 instead of RAID1) ? Totally remove it ?
And performance wise, if i get rid of it, will it be slower or faster ?

A bit lost, and beginner in PVE, thanks for your feedback

I read you should not use hardware raid with PVE.

You can use HW raid with PVE. You just shouldn't use it with stuff like ZFS and ceph. Things like ext4 or LVM on top of HW raid are totally fine. Just make sure you know the benefits and downsides of using HW raid vs SW raid.
