Proxmox kernel errors during apt

Hi,

Have proxmox running on a NUC 13.

I've recently been trying to install the NFS server and encountered some issues. It seems to have installed with the last set of updates from the web UI, but I'd like to try and resolve the issue if possible. It appears to be due to the 6.5.11-7 kernel, and the host is running 6.5.11-8.

Code:
pveversion
pve-manager/8.2.2/9355359cd7afbae4 (running kernel: 6.5.11-8-pve)

I can't see 6.5.11-7 in this list:

Code:
root@pve:~# proxmox-boot-tool kernel list
Manually selected kernels:
None.

Automatically selected kernels:
6.5.11-8-pve
6.5.13-5-pve
6.8.4-2-pve

Pinned kernel:
6.5.11-8-pve

I've included the output of some apt commands below. Has anyone got any ideas? If possible I'd prefer not to nuke this node and rebuild it if it is fixable.
Many thanks

Hi,
please share your /etc/default/grub configuration file. From the log above, my first guess is that a tilted double quote rather than a usual double quote " slipped in.

Yep, that was exactly it. Thanks!

If someone else comes across this - I'd left notes I'd copied from somewhere uncommented in /etc/default/grub which (alongside the “) was what was causing grub to fail. The grub below is what I had.

Code:
root@pve:~# cat /etc/default/grub
