proxmox-boot-tool hangs forever without any error message
Since it seems to be run during apt-get upgrade, the whole upgrade hangs now
Please advice

Code:
root@hn-dl360g7-proxmox01:~# proxmox-boot-tool status
Re-executing '/usr/sbin/proxmox-boot-tool' in new private mount namespace..
System currently booted with legacy bios
8770-812F is configured with: uefi (versions: 5.4.103-1-pve, 5.4.106-1-pve), grub (versions: 5.4.157-1-pve, 5.4.203-1-pve)
root@hn-dl360g7-proxmox01:~# proxmox-boot-tool refresh
Running hook script 'proxmox-auto-removal'..
Running hook script 'zz-proxmox-boot'..
Re-executing '/etc/kernel/postinst.d/zz-proxmox-boot' in new private mount namespace..
No /etc/kernel/cmdline found - falling back to /proc/cmdline
Copying and configuring kernels on /dev/disk/by-uuid/8770-812F
    Copying kernel 5.4.157-1-pve

* open another ssh-session/shell and post the output of `ps auxwf`
* check the output of `dmesg`

on a very far fetched hunch - maybe your disk is broken and needs replacement

No dmesg output, disks are fine. I don't remember ps auxwf output but the problem fixed itself, took 10 minutes to copy the 2 kernels, then the update went through. Copies kernels now in normal speed.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
