Hi All

Maybe I am missing something simple, but when I make changes to my centos server in some areas such as /etc or new usb devices in /dev, the changes do not seem to survive...

VE_ROOT="/var/lib/vz/root/100"VE_PRIVATE="/var/lib/vz/private/100"
OSTEMPLATE="centos-6-standard_6.3-1_amd64.tar.gz"

does anyone have an idea on this? Is it pulling core info from the template?

Thanks

Alex

is there any way to see what is not changable?
for example - creating new nodes for a usb printer on the host that is replicated on the guest... will this persist?

Any idea of how I can find out what is persistent and what I can change? Any pointers would be helpful and provide some comfort ;-)

Thanks

A.

for more clarity - even the configuration of my .bash config files for users are defaulting to the original. presently to make the system work on reboot I have to tar and restore ... not the cleanest of solutions ;-)

Then you have some other problem.
