NFS: Options SYNC / ASYNC

Hello everyone, it is very dangerous to have an NFS server set the option to "async" in his file "exports".
It turns out that in the new versions of nfs, appears by default "sync" but in "async" I doubled the speed. It is too much trouble for hosting virtual machines that security in file corruption not.

Yes, I feel it is a question. I've noticed that with the "async" comes at twice the speed, what worries me is that this way for corruption on files. Just wondering if it would be inappropriate "async"?
