Hi,
This is a message for nexenta san users.

I'm planning to add cloning and snapshots functions to proxmox 2(.X) through nexenta perl api.

Is it a feature you need ?

Do you use nfs or iscsi ?

Best Regards,

SPiRiT

Hi,
interesting (don't have an nexenta-system yet).
Should the snapshot-function work "only" on the vm-disks, or also on the running-state (memory/cpu)?

Udo

vm-disk only, at the san side.

Complete vm snapshot (memory/cpu) is not yet ready in qemu.

It need a new virtioserial interface, for communication between host and guest, to freeze guest before the snapshot.
I think it will be ready for qemu 0.16, so I'll try to have a look at it in some months.
