Hi,

With current proxmox 4.1, I created a container lxc and wish allocate 100% of the CPU of the machine.

In the documentation, the previouis version use vzcpucheck to find the maximum value.

It no longer exists except my mistake in 4.1

How I have to be paid these 2 values in this case? units and CPU limit CPU

How to know the maximum value for my server?

Thank you a lot.

Hi,

CPU is the CPU count.
So if you have 8 cpus (w/o HT) on the host
and you give your CT 2 CPU, then your CT can use 25% of the host.

If you what 100% set it to 0.

Units is the weighting or priority.

Thanks you for your reply.

In my case, I have a X5570 or 4 cores and 8 threads
must indicate the physical cores or threads maximum amount?

I had read that it was necessary to 0 to 100% but the interface proxmox it is impossible.

this indicates the following error:

closing file '/sys/fs/cgroup/cpu/lxc/200/cpu.cfs_quota_us' failed - Invalid argument (500)
same for cpu units, you can not set it to 0

No you miss understand me.

Set CPU limit to 0 and keep 1024 for CPU units.
