Login failed to WebGUI

since yesterday, suddenly I can not login, neither as root nor as VE authentication, "Login failed Please try again" I can not restart the machine because there are VMs in production, what can I do?

Check your file :

/etc/pve/user.cfg

At least 1 line like that :

user:root@pam:1:0::::::

Yes first line is

Well if you correctly use "PAM authentification" in list during connection, I don't see more reason to fail

Not work, i connect with SSH with root password but not login into web gui with PAM authentication

I have also tried to restart pvedaemon but have:

/etc/init.d/pvedaemon restart
Starting PVE Daemon: pvedaemonunable to create socket - IO::Socket::INET: Address already in use
 (warning).
