IPv6 working OOTB without setting up anything, is that right?

Hello community

I'm running pve7.4 with a bunch of LXC containers. Configured IPv6 with SLAAC on my pfSense box.
The default setting for IPv6 after creating an LXC container is "static", so I haven't changed anything
there, but IPv6 is working fine and as expected, without changing the GUI setting to SLAAC. Is that
correct? Maybe someone could explain what the setting changes then?
