Hello *,

we are running an IBM Bladecenter-S and can access the blades by remote console only.
Installing Proxmox turns into a real challange of patience.

The X GUI is quite unresponsive to cursor movements and doesn't act to special characters (like '@' from a German keyboard).

Is there any alternative installation method?

Best regards,

Joachim

install Debian Stretch, and follow the guide on installing Proxmox VE on top (https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Stretch)

Have you installed all updates to the bladecenter firmware? In general, the remote console is not working that good. Unfortunately, it works best in some old IE with .net or ancient JAVA. I have several VMs laying around for exactly that purpose. For each generation of remote console stuff, a separate OS with special versions of java or .net. Real PITA.
