How to restore Proxmox containers from backups

If you have that CIFS storage configured in Proxmox VE, than why should it not?

I have only two Proxmox Servers. So if any of this Server fails I should able to restore VMs and CTs from backups.
So I take backups in CIFS storage.

Backups made with Proxmox VE (vzdump) can be restored on Proxmox VE again. Of course you will need to do regular restore tests to verify that the backup is still valid.

The CIFS backup files are not available in Proxmox GUI, Whereas backups in local storage are displayed in Proxmox console. Should I enable anything to list backups in CIFS storage?

Go to Datacenter -> Storage -> Edit storage and add VZDump backup file as content type. Then they should show up.
