Hi!

I'm trying to install Scientific Linux 6 using the DVD media "SL-60-x86_64-2011-03-03-Everything-DVD1.iso" and "SL-60-x86_64-2011-03-03-Everything-DVD2.iso".
I downloaded it to my proxmox host, and icreated a new VM using DVD1 as installation media. Everything was fine until the installation routing told me to insert DVD2.
So i went to "Hardware" > "CD-ROM drives" and changed the Disk to DVD2, clicked "apply" but even after waiting some time before processing in the installation routine of SL6 it still says it wouldn't be the correct media. I can't belive the image is broken because i downloaded it twice from different sources.

Any ideas?

Hi!

i already tried it with ejecting, without success.
Just created a new Device (both IDE and SCSI) and mounted the iso, without success, too.

Any more ideas?

changing the disks works here without problems using the described procedure. just downloaded and tested with these 2 disks.

The following procedure may work:

to enter monitor from guest screen:

Code:
<cntl><alt>2

to exit back to guest screen:

Code:
<cntl><alt>1

Get the details:

Code:
(qemu) info block

<list of block devices>

changing a cd image:

Code:
(qemu) eject ide1-cd0
(qemu) change ide1-cd0 <target_file>

exit QEMU:
Code:
<cntl><alt>1
