No not a live migration.

When I initially tried it errored out without copying anything with function not implemented - unable to determine size. I realized I had a snapshot so shut the VM down and deleted the snapshot. Waited a while after snapshot deletion and then tried and this time it copied 12GB and then errored above.

Server 2022 VM and storage is thick provisioned, lazy zeroed.

So I tried a few things today to no avail, still get the error after around 14G of data copied. Pretty sure it is hitting an ESXi rate limit but don't know how to fix.

I made sure ESXi was patched and rebooted: VMware ESXi, 7.0.3, 23307199
Kept all the other VM's on other hosts and only migrated the one I wanted to import onto this host.
Made sure the VM was shut down and had been off for at least a min or two.

Out of ideas other than connect to vCenter and see if that will work albeit slowly.
