Ceph not detecting new disk

Hello,

I am trying to swap OSDs between my hosts because of improper balancing.

When swapping the disks the "ceph orch device ls --refresh" command doesn't recognize the new disk as available but "ceph-volume inventory" shows the disk as available.

Does anyone know what could be the issue?

Do you use pveceph ? If yes theres no ceph orchester in pve.

Some swapped OSDs are being added as unmanaged and ceph health shows their statuses are in error state. Do you know why that is ? Thanks.

Even though it says the OSDs are in error state, they are getting PGs and working without an issue atm.

Our setup uses an external Ceph storage cluster. How can I give you more information on this?
