I all of a sudden cannot log into any of my containers. when I try to enter root for the username, it never asks for a password. It just pauses for a few seconds, then tells me login incorrect... any ideas where I should start looking for possible issues?

Hi,

you have to set the passsword in the installation process.
But you can enter the container without password.
Just go to the comandline on your host
Code:
pct enter <VMID>

Well, was looking a long time for a solution to this problem.

After all you can login into the container just with lxc-attach <ct number>

@wolfgang , maybe you can update your wiki page with this information :)

Ah, now I see. But sadly it is not really obvious, that this is the solution to a "lost password".

Enter the LXC namespace and run a shell as root user ++(without password)
pct enter 100

It would greatly improve usability of the documentation. Just my two cents.
