Can not Access my VMs after changing my Hostname on proxmox

At the start i accessed my proxmox via SSH and went to the /etc/hostname and changed it from pve to pveMICTHACLSTR but did not change it in /etc/hosts so I got bellow Error when I run command qm list to view the VMs .. But I fixed this error by changing the Hostname in the /etc/hosts file.

root@pveMICTHACLSTR:~# qm list
ipcc_send_rec[1] failed: Connection refused
ipcc_send_rec[2] failed: Connection refused
ipcc_send_rec[3] failed: Connection refused
Unable to load access control list: Connection refused


... Now am able to see my vms which I setup in pve only before I changed the Hostname to pveMICTHACLSTR

Did you reboot after you changed the hostname and hosts files?

Do you see two folders in `/etc/pve/nodes` path?

yes i rebooted and the name changed

when I try to switch on th VMs under pve I get this error

I never have done this, but you need to move your guest config files from the old node directory to the new one.
The experiences with this seem to differ quit a bit; maybe this helps: [1].

Be aware that you are, of course, doing this on your own risk! And make sure you have recent and working backups!
