I have a script to manage my backup files. I was traveling when I got an email of a backup problem. I didn't worry because it was just a backup. A few days later I discovered that all my local backups had been deleted by my script. (It assumed new ones were happening and deleted the old ones.)
I need to modify my script such that it doesn't delete old files if there are problems with the new files.
I'm wondering if there is an easy way to tell from a script that the back up finished without errors before I delete the old files.
Thanks
