Hi Folks,
I've troubleshot my backups throughout this year, and today I went into my backup space and saw there were an absurd amount of files left behind by proxmox. Incomplete backup files, old logs, and stuff like that.
Were these files listed in the backup section of the proxmox gui? Nope! Not one!
I had to manually go and delete them, and it was kind of frustrating, but I just want to pass it along.
I'm not sure how to reproduce all the situations, including the larger examples of the incomplete backups itself. BUT, I can reproduce one small example.
I'm on 3.4-11/6502936f (latest updates as of this writing).
When I manually start a backup job, then tell it to stop, the log file in the target Backup folder does not get deleted. That's it.
I am passing this along, as I find proxmox quite tidy, and I want to help keep it that way
