Hi,

when i go home after work and come back next day my test vm on my proxmox4cluster is frozen with this error message:

[h=3]BUG: soft lockup - CPU stuck for 23s![/h]

what is the cause for this behavior and what can i do against it?

This is realy only for evaluating Proxmox4 :)

- 3 nodes as VMWare Player VMs on a physikal dell optiplex 3010 with i5 and 4GB RAM.
- each node has 1 GB and 1 CPU core
- the vm on proxmox has 1GB and one core

i think it is because of the very very very poor RAM and CPU of the 3 nodes, but im not sure. perhaps someone has another idea?

regards,

I have some periodically problem at:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 v3 @ 3.50GHz
and
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1231 v3 @ 3.40GHz

- each node has 1 GB and 1 CPU core
- the vm on proxmox has 1GB and one core

???

very very very poor RAM can for sure triggers this behaviour, for instance when the kernel flushes its page cache, or when doing a live backup
