Hi,

Is there an opensource ( or commercial) backup product that you would recommend ?

What are people using to backup and dedupe their Windows and Linux guests ?

Any help / suggestions /recommendations will be very appreciated

Thanks
Steven

I am using backuppc running a openvz container with a large LVM bind mounted to the /var/lib/backuppc directory within the container below are some useful links. I can try to help as have several versions of proxmox running successfully with backuppc and one that keep running out of memory.

These look somewhat like what you are asking for but i think more for backing up windows VMS

This is the one i used to setup my windows hosts

Here is my incomplete write-up on my backuppc setups

The tricky part is getting backuppc not to backup itself with the bind mounts and openvz dirctories onboard proxmox
