I've been having USB crashes when my 2.5G USB 3.1 Ethernet dongle is in use.
I've been researching this for awhile and this is the closest I've come to a potential solution.
Apparently there is microcode for the ASMedia 1142 USB 3.1 host controllers that are on my mobo (Dell 8930).
I've been able to find some references where there is a Windows Tool to flash the microcode and I know Dell has a patch on their website (though not the latest microcode).
The only device on that host controller is the usb nic dongle and the errors are related to xhci_hcd
Is there any way to read the microcode revision from Proxmox (debian)?
Also, is there a way to flash a newer revision of the microcode in hopes this solves my problem? Ideally from debian but if not, a how-to link would be helpful.
Any other strategies for diagnosing and resolving this would be appreciated!
