After Proxmox install, machine won't boot to hard drive

Hi,

I've performed this procedure twice on a clean machine. After install, machine will not get past BIOS screens and start the hard drive. Proxmox does not throw any errors during install (using verbose mode), and states it is successfully completed.

Just updated the BIOS on the MB and tried again, same issue. I don't think the bios is the issue, because I can install Ubuntu 14.04 bare metal and the machine boots correctly.

here are my specs:
Asus Z87-WS, Intel Core I7-4770K, 32 gb ram (certified to work with this MB), Samsung SSD 840 HD, 240gb

Have you tried disabling UEFI in BIOS during installation and enabling Legacy mode?

Thanks for the advice.
Just changed settings in BIOS for legacy, and re-ran the install. No joy, still won't boot up on SSD to Proxmox.
Wondering if I should just wait for next release, sometime in December?

Is this ssd the only disk drive on your server? If not, try to disconnect all other disk drives during the installation and connect them back after the installation.
Proxmox needs to install grub on the first drive.Failure detecting it so can lead in such problem.
Or you can try with an older proxmox iso and then upgrade the system to the latest version.Another option could be putting this ssd to another pc, making the installation there and after that putting in to this server.
