Proxmox 4 community updates fail postinst

Hi @GadgetPig Thanks for the pointers. I actually maintain a Debian derivative, and we often get some interesting issues with users upgrading, so I am familiar with troubleshooting dpkg, mirroring issues and partial archives. I tried your suggestions above before troubleshooting the postinst...

Proxmox 4 community updates fail postinst

Hi, Thanks for your response. I fixed it now. I tested on another Proxmox server and had the same issue, but not on a 3rd. It seems that if you dist-upgrade pve-manager to 4.4-15 without a reboot, then upgrade to 4.4.17, you'll have a problem. I had to manually grab...

    Partitioning questions in Proxmox 4.x

Hello, I apologise for the late reply (Summer has delayed things). Thanks for clarifying that newer versions of Proxmox now employ thin provisioning. I wasn't aware of this. Is there a way for me to migrate these containers to the old scheme without destroying them? I can accept downtime for...

    Partitioning questions in Proxmox 4.x

Hi, We're using Proxmox 4.x with both LXC containers and KVM machines. It seems that the way partitioning is handled has changed since Proxmox 3.x. We have some data that we need to share between a few of these LXC containers; so I have a set up mp0 in /etc/pve/lxc/*.conf for each container...

Can't create new VM: no quroum

Udo has fixed the issue. Many thanks to him.Following his original link would have worked, however it should be noted when you mv /etc/pve to a backup directory, you should mkdir a fresh /etc/pve as restarting the service won't do this for you!
