Sorry for kicking this thread but i read the wiki and it says: by using clonezilla live it is possible to migrate the physical server to a KVM machine and not have to make a virtual disk equal or larger then the physical disk.
I'm not able to do this, clonezilla says the operation failed because...
Hi,
I did a update, upgrade on a testing proxmox machine and now the front-end doesn't work.
When i go to the browser i'm getting:
Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Request header field is missing ':' separator.
Keep-Aen-us,en;q=0.5

Hi,
I would like to update proxmox from 1.6 to 1.8, should i do an update to 1.7 first or can i safely go for 1.8?
Also, what is the best method to update a running cluster with iscsi SAN?
Updating nodes one by one first and then the master? Maby adding a 1.8 node extra to move machines so if...
I can second this issue, we made a backup of VM 112 and restored it again(from the old SAN-iscsi to the new SAN-also iscsi) to node 2.
We live migrated VM 112(a debian VM installed a year ago fresh within proxmox) from node 2 to node 1.
That worked fine, but after a couple of days the disk...
Well, can i include a 1.8 version into an 1.6 cluster?
And the speed of the i/o, yes i can confirm that 1 cpu and IDE is pretty fast(around 13MByte p/s), but 2 cpu's with virtio is still from 23MByte to 50Mbyte p/s.
Can the problem be related to bad i/o and r/w speed of the disk?
It was installed on IDE disks and did like 4.5Mbyte r/w, now converted to virtio it's doing around 50Mbyte r/w a sec but since the issue is random i cannot confirm this has fixed it.
I know it is an old thread but just to confirm my findings:
I ran iometer on XP with IDE disks, it gave me iops of ~250 / 300 and a max of 4.5Megabyte p/s disk r/w speed.
I converted the disk to virtio like said above and ran iometer again and now disk r/w is around 50Megabyte p/s so this is a...
Hi,
I recently installed a new windows xp machine using IDE disks in proxmox.
After a couple of day's it started to give me a blue screen with something like: irq_not_less_or_equal
It happens very randomly, no pattern. One day it did a blue screen 3 times a day and another day 1 time or none at...
I don't think i am willing to take these risks.
I will go for a safer solution and that is making a new separate cluster and move the vm's one by one.
Or maby delete the cluster and test it with 1 node and see how it goes without any important vm's on it.
Option 1 is the best.
The cluster is now based on 1 ip, so the best way to change it in a hostname is to edit the config file on the master i think?
Now, is there a way to change this on a working and active cluster without having trouble with vm's that won't start?
Vm's have to be shutdown to...
Hi,
The proxmox cluster is working great in combination with a SAN over ISCSI.
Now, the SAN has redundant 4 x 1 gbit nic's.(total of 8 nic's)
Every nic has a separate internal ip address.
Setting up a cluster is fine just that it automatically copies the cluster config files what basically...
I narrowed down the problem to the following:
Proxmox 1.7 does not connect with the MD3200i, an openfiler iscsi does work.
I installed proxmox 1.6 and it worked, the new server is connected to the MD3200i.
So i think that there is something wrong with the iscsi initiator in 1.7 what causes...
