Hello, I have been able to pass through my Intel Arc GPU to an Ubuntu 22.04 64-bit server virtual machine. The host in an AMD Epyc 7402 on a Supermicro H12SSL-I running Proxmox 8.1. On the PVE host I have IOMMU working. Here are the steps that I've done.
root@hyperion:~# dmesg | grep -e DMAR...
I am trying to migrate all of my KVM virtual machines off a Proxmox 3.4 host to new hardware that is a 4.4 host. I have migrated all of my vms except one. I have a Windows 7 virtual machine that the backup fails everytime at 9%. This is a vm with an 80GB hard drive in RAW format (LVM storage...
Hello,
I have a Proxmox 3.4 host, and for some reason, I can't create a simple zfs mirror. Here's what I'm trying to do.
zpool create -f -o ashift=12 datastore mirror /dev/disk/by-id/ata-Crucial_CT256MX100SSD1_14330CEDCBB5 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-Crucial_CT256MX100SSD1_14290CA27F0F log...
Hello, I'm trying to setup a Minecraft Server in a KVM instance for nephew. I have read that loading the maps in a ramdisk can greatly reduce the lag. I have this all working on my local hardware test machine (Ubuntu 12.04.3 Server), but when I add the tmpfs line to my /etc/fstab on Proxmox...
Hello, I've tried to virtualize our first Windows server in KVM, and the box keeps shutting down sporadically. I'm not a Windows admin, but the Event Viewer has thousands of messages like this \Device\Scsi\Sym_hi1, did not respond within the timeout period.
proxmox:~# pveversion -vpve-manager...
I've been trying to figure out why I have been seeing so many io delays on my Proxmox Host (HP DL360-G5, Xeon(R) CPU E5335 w/6GB RAM and (4) 10,000RPM SAS disks). This is not a heavily utilized machine (load average: 0.15, 0.54, 0.68), but I'd like it to perform better if I need if for a bigger...
I just upgraded my running Proxmox 1.5 host to Proxmox 1.6 following the directions on the wiki. Following the reboot, I get an error 15 using either the new kernel, and the previous 2.6.18 kernel. Any ideas to get this working again are really appreciated.
Thanks
Title pretty much says it all. I upgraded from 1.4 to 1.5, and OpenVZ machines work well but KVM machines fail to startup, even if I try to setup a new virtual machine. I've tried 64 bit ubuntu, 64 bit pbxinaflash, and 64 bit cacti-ez, all fail to startup. I'm trying to use them with scsi...
I can get great disk I/O in an OpenVZ container vs a KVM virtual machine, but the networking is MUCH slower. About 1MB/s for OpenVZ vs 9-10MB/s for the KVM virtual machine. Both are Debian Lenny machines with 1GB of RAM on the same Proxmox host. Any ideas?
I've installed PBX in a Flash from iso onto my HP DL360-G5 server with dual Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 12) network cards. Networking works great on my Proxmox 1.4 host, but when I setup a virtual machine in KVM, the ethernet adapter doesn't even show up in...
