I currently have two servers hooked up to a SAN. Here is my storage configuration.

I think that's the problem.
All of the servers are connected to 4 different vlans.
I want the cluster to be on the management lan 10.10.40.*, like strongest and bolivar.
However, it took the 10.10.10.* ip by default. Is there a way to define the ip you want the server to use when adding it...
Issues Adding two servers to an existing Cluster
We have two servers already in a cluster, which was originally configured as a two node cluster. It is in production and has 10 VMs running on each.:
aurora
root@aurora:~# pveversion -v
proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 3.1-109 (running kernel: 2.6.32-23-pve)...
answered my own question.
To Migrate by hand.
1. Shut Down VM
2. transfer image file to new server
3. In gui create container, with identical info to the one you just stopped
4. Copy File to the new image file location, or if using a san, use dd to copy the image to the san.
5. Turn on the new vm.
Is there a work around for this?
I'm having the same issue. I run vzdump to migrate a kvm or vz container, and sometimes the io load spikes, then the server hangs. The only way I fix it is to restart the server, thus bringing down my production environment.

On a kvm I was running an fio command to test the io of the system, and the server froze. I rebooted the VM, and I get this error on boot.

Does anyone have any ideas how to repair...
I have setup a SAN to work with proxmox. The SAN uses multipathing over 4 dedicated NICS.
I have a Dell MD3200 connected to a high speed switch. The configuration is using Jumbo Frames over a 1 Gb line.
I'm able to build and migrate servers on the SAN I setup and built, and functionally...
I'm getting a similar error, and I' have upgraded to 3.0.
I dumped a server from a 2.3 server, and I'm restoring in on a 3.0 server. The restore is putting the image on a san storage device. I'm getting the error below:

I'm running Proxmox 2.0, and I'm really confused by looking at the available memory.

I'm running Proxmox 2.2
I've been working on a network setup for a new proxmox host setup.
We have been having a lot of trouble, not so much with the configuration, but with changing the configuration and applying the changes.

I have a proxmox server, and I want to know if there is a general rule of thumb to allocate resources on the server.
Here are the stats for the physical server:
Proxmox 2.0

12 threads
Storage: 500 GB
Memory: 32 GB
I want fully utilize the server without over allocating the...
That's actually an error caused by the quote tag. Let's try it with the code tag:
POST http://rest-test.heroku.com/resource with a 741 byte payload, content type
application/x-www-form-urlencoded {"vmid"=>"216", "name"=>"test_build", "memory"=>"1022",
"cores"=>"2"...
It doesn't have whitespace in them. The quote command introduced them somehow

I'm trying to create qemu virtual machine containers using the Proxmox 2.0 API. I'm able
to authenticate the root user, and use the GET command to access data. Hovever, when I
try to post data I get a "401 Unauthorized" error and {data:null}, no matter what I try.

That fixes that specific error, but then it runs into a similar problem:

I've installed proxmox 2.0 on two servers, and have configured them into a cluster. I'm trying now to migrate KVM's from server 1 to server 2.
