Die EFI Partition muss vorne auf die interne SSD. ZFS kannst Du für den VM Storage einrichten, wenn PVE installiert ist.

Du könntest PVE über ein Debian installieren. https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_12_Bookworm Das Debian / legst Du auf die NVME und /boot auf die interne SSD und auch grub. Nicht getestet.

What is the output of apt list --installed | grep linux-image? Please provide the /etc/apt/sources.list and the contens of the files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d

Usually I boot up the VM from the gparted live ISO an do the resize of the partitions.

You could do this with sed for the .conf-files in /etc/pve/lxc/ and /etc/pve/qemu-server/ when the LXC and Vms are powered off.
